Description
Our Lightweight Wadding is made from a mixture of wool and aramid fibres (to make it Fire Retardant to British Standards) and is approximately 4mm thick uncompressed. It is used as a barrier between the calico and the top fabric to prevent hair or coir fibre coming through.
The original 'Skin Wadding' was made from 100% cotton and used between calico and the top fabric as a barrier to stop Hair coming through the fabric in Traditional Upholstery.
