Commonly used in vehicle trimming, this foam is backed with fabric on one side which makes it suitable to use as backing for top fabric, leather or vinyl to create a quilted look to your work. Sew through all layers and create a heavy top stitch for a rich professional effect. Available in two depths 6mm or 12mm. width 150cms.

For seat cushions requiring firm support, high-resilience (HR) foam in the 35-45kg/m³ density range is recommended. For softer back cushions, a lower density or softer grade is suitable. The foam grade or firmness rating is shown in the product listing where applicable.

Can foam be cut to a custom size?

Yes — upholstery foam can be cut using an electric carving knife, band saw, or foam saw. We also supply foam in standard sheet sizes and off-cuts. For precise shapes, use a sharp blade and a straight edge as a guide.

How do I measure for a replacement foam cushion?

Measure the internal width, depth, and height of the cushion cover. Add 10-15mm to each dimension to achieve a full, firm look once the foam is inside the cover. For softer cushions, use the exact internal measurement.
